Barbara Marx Hubbard believes that humanity has "come to possess the powers that we used to attribute to the gods."
Hubbard is a "New Age" heretic who claims to receive knowledge from her channeled "Christ." In a lecture at Texas A & M University, September 11, 2002, she said this spirit gave her the words, "Evolve or die."
The Shift
“The Shift” is the change humans must make, transitioning themselves to the next stage of human evolution. "The Shift" takes place when one turns from the God of the Bible and focuses on the divinity within. Those who refuse to acknowledge themselves as “God,” will be eliminated by “the selection process.”
Peace Plan For Planet Earth
According to Hubbard, the salvation of this planet will be implemented by the masses accepting “The Shift” as they move into "Conscious Evolution."
Summary:
If you don't "evolve," you're going to die.
If you don't make "The Shift" you will be eliminated.
The Lie
It's the exact same deception as in the beginning: man has to "shift" into divinity.
Satan told Eve that if she rebelled against what God had explicitly said, and instead followed HIS (Satan's) dare, she would NOT die as God had told her, but she would instead become "as God."
"And the serpent said to the woman, "You will not surely die. For God knows that in the day you eat of it your eyes will be opened, and you will be as God, knowing good and evil.''

Eve and Adam made "The Shift," and we've been paying for it ever since.

Definition: Conscious Evolution
The teaching that humans have the potential of being co-creators with "Spirit" and that humankind has attained unprecedented powers to affect, control and change the evolution of life on Earth. Hubbard suggests it may set the framework for a “meta-religion,” an all-inclusive religion in which the great faiths and wisdom traditions can contribute their unique gifts to the conscious evolution of humanity, with the common goal being the emergence of a humanity capable of co-evolution with nature and co-creation with Spirit.
